Minnesota Model Consulting is a team of professionals whose collective expertise spans virtually every facet of addiction treatment, combining extensive educational backgrounds with real-world experience. Headed by principal partner Michael A Schiks, a project team is assembled from our network of various associates based on the client's particular needs. Minnesota Model Consulting works as a partner with clients to provide the added expertise and “people power” to define and accomplish agreed upon goals.

Our current group of associates include experienced addiction professionals with focused expertise in management, technology, training, marketing, clinical quality, development and other clinical and business specialties.

Principal Partner Michael A Schiks, MSM, BA, ACATA

Mike's professional expertise makes him uniquely qualified to help programs integrate their clinical and business operations in a way that emphasizes the human side of addiction with the practical aspects of operating in a complex health care environment. Through his personal journey and his professional work, including over 20 years in various clinical and leadership roles at Hazelden, Mike has spent his life "carrying the message of hope" that is recovery. His capabilities, talents, and in depth knowledge of the Minnesota Model of care, combined with those of numerous professional associates, present clients with an unparalleled resource to foster improvement and positive changes in the delivery of addiction services.  Mike is the Executive Director/CEO of Project Turnabout, an addiction treatment program based in Granite Falls, Minnesota.
